We are pleased to announce that we will once again be a collection site for Coats for Kids!

Please bring a new or clean and gently used coat for a child, youth, or adult.  Donations of scarves, mittens, gloves, and hats are also being accepted.  It would be helpful if the items could be pre-bagged in a plastic or garbage bag then placed in the donation box.

A gift of a coat does so much more than provide warmth.  It will help children attend school regularly, increase their confidence, socialize with their friends, and play outside with pride.  For a family struggling to provide basic needs such as housing, food, health care, and utilties, a coat reminds them that their community cares for their well-being.

All items will be kept local, they will be donated to the Salvation Army of Calumet County.  Look for the donation box in the narthex.

We will be collecting from September 27th-October 25th.

Thank you for you donation!

In the name of Jesus Christ I greet you and pray His blessings for health and peace to you.

Faith United Methodist Church will open for in person worship starting this Sunday September 20, 2020 at 10 am.  Things will be different.  It will not be like it was before the pandemic.  I pray for your patience as we work through our new procedures and social distancing.

As always the number one rule is: if you do not feel well in any way please stay home.  Also masks will be required by everyone who enters the building.  These new procedures have been approved by the Church Council, the Staff Parish Relations Committee and Calumet County Health Department.

We will continue to carry our worship service on our Facebook page for those who feel it is safer to stay home.  I honor and respect your decision, no matter what you decide is best for you and your family.  I pray you will continue to support your church with your weekly gifts to sustain our ministry and mission of the church.

God bless you all.

Good Tuesday Morning Brillion Faith UMC !!

I pray God's blessings to all this day. This is going to be a long post but I need all of you read it and prayerfully consider it all before making the decision to return to worship.

WORSHIP SERVICES AT FAITH UMC WILL RESUME THIS SUNDAY JUNE 14 AT 10 AM!

With that said there is much to know to keep everyone safe. This decision was made unanimously by myself and church leadership.
If you receive your newsletter via email or by regular mail, you will be receiving the criteria we used to make our decision. It is much to long to post here. This will be long enough as it is.

Worship services will be held outdoors in my backyard, as we do for our summer outdoor worship service, at 10 am all summer long. We have decided to keep the building closed for many many reasons of which you will see in the material we are sending to you.

We will meet outdoors each Sunday, weather permitting. If weather is bad there will be only Facebook Live worship. ALL services, inside and out, will be streamed on Facebook Live. Services will be held outdoors each Sunday unless it is raining or if it has rained and the grounds are too wet to gather. That means if it is a chilly morning please dress accordingly. We ask that you bring your own lawn chairs or blankets. SOCIAL DISTANCING WILL BE ENFORCED. THERE IS NO LIMIT ON ATTENDANCE FOR OUTDOOR WORSHIP AND SINGING OUTDOORS IS PERMITTED BUT WILL BE LIMITED.

IF YOU ARE NOT FEELING WELL, A FEVER, COUGH, SHORTNESS OF BREATH OR ANY OTHER REASON......DO NOT COME TO CHURCH.

WEARING A MASK FOR OUTDOOR WORSHIP IS YOUR CHOICE. IT IS NOT REQUIRED. We will have a small number of masks available should you decide you want one and did not bring your own. There will be hand sanitizer available at each service and should be used when you arrive.

We will be recording the names of everyone attending worship each week as a way to contact trace should anyone attending worship become sick. IF YOU BECOME ILL AFTER ATTENDING WORSHIP YOU MUST REPORT IT IMMEDIATELY TO THE CHURCH OFFICE OR PASTOR DALE.

NO HAND SHAKES, NO HUGS, NO FIST BUMPS, NO CONTACT WITH ANYONE OTHER THAN YOUR IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBERS WHO LIVE IN THE SAME HOUSEHOLD.

Nothing will be passed. We ask that you place your offering in a plate or offering box as you arrive at worship. Bulletins will continue to be emailed to you and we ask that you print them out and bring them with you to worship to avoid contact. We will have only a few printed bulletins available. Very few.

We are working on how Communion may work at this time. There are many restrictions and we will be posting more about that in the future. The bishop has also allowed for churches to hold a moratorium on the sacrament if need be.

As I mentioned the church building will remain closed, however it will be open on Sunday morning for emergency restroom use only. The only restroom that will be available is the unisex restroom to cut down on sanitation needs. If you use the restroom it can only be one person or one person and their own child. We ask that after use you sanitize the restroom with materials the church will supply. THIS IS A MUST.

Finally in making your decision on whether to attend worship or stay home and watch....IT IS STILL THE GOVERNMENTS RECOMMENDATION THAT PERSONS 65 OR OLDER OR ANYONE WHO HAS HEALTH ISSUES TO NOT ATTEND WORSHIP AT THIS TIME. If you are over 65 and healthy, it is solely your decision if want to attend worship. Everyone will attend at their own risk and I pray you will make that decision prayerfully and wisely for your safety and for everyone's safety.

While I think we have covered most issues some others certainly may appear. While I'm excited to begin face to face worship in our outdoor setting, I am still concerned for EVERYONE'S health and safety. I don't know what I'd do if one of you got sick or God forbid would die. AS WE GATHER AGAIN, PLEASE PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING AND ATTEND ONLY WHEN YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE.

If any of you have any questions, please feel free to call me.

Thank you.

God bless you all......See you Sunday!!!
